Have you ever stood on a bridge directly over a raging river? Not a dormant one that meanders casually down stream, but one that swirls and churns beneath you as it pushes everything in that is caught in its current. Have you ever thrown a leaf into that kind of torrent?
Although it might float gently off of the bridge, as soon as it hits the water, its direction is altered. As soon as it gets trapped in the flow of the water, it starts running downstream until it is out of your sight.
Just as there are many different rivers in the world, there are many unique and powerful currents that try to affect the flow and philosophy of many lives. And, all but one of them is dangerous. The only one that is profitable, fulfilling, and holds eternal possibilities is the stream that can be found in a relationship with God.
In this current, God will help you decide your direction, responses to life, and your future. And, in this flow you will discover your destiny and the purpose for which you were created. So, go ahead, don’t just stand there looking at the current.
Jump into God’s stream. You will be swept away, but you will never be pulled under.
