Rejection!!!
Every one of us experiences rejection at point time in our lives, be it from work, school, relationship or another person. When you are afraid that you might be rejected, you go on pleasing others so that no one should develop a negative opinion about you. You are extremely dishonest with yourself and you tend to become habitual liar.
If you believe that you can take care of your own needs well and be happy even if you are alone, then being alone is nothing to fear. If you believe that you need others to take care of you and "make" you happy, then you are too dependent on others and their absence is something to "panic" about.
Realize that only losers avoid rejection.
Stop worrying about what others think of you.
Do not be a "people pleaser".
There is an end to the pain.
Don't take it personally.
Learn and move on.
Turn rejection into acceptance.
Remember…If we continually hold back from interacting with people because of our fear of rejection, we simultaneously miss out on the potential happiness, warmth, fun and excitement that other people can bring to us.
Do not ever be afraid of rejection in life. If someone rejects you, take that as a challenge to prove yourself. Don't let other people dictate your identity.

That, up there, is what you call compensation. Though in my own honest opinion, we never should be tucked in with the "feeling" of rejection. Feelings are passing, yet they received a high societal recognition. So I must say its part of living but I also believe that feelings are fleeting. So why live to what others might say or think about you? Rejection is part of life. Yeah, what a cliché! but is true, not only to me but also to you. Hmmm, so live the person whom you are not as what others tell you to be.
Wait. Am I making sense?
I sounded like my 4008 professor. Haha
Yeah. Rejection is part of life. ika nga, You can never please everyone. I think all of us will experience or has already experience that at some point. Just think positive. Life goes on. hehe

ReplyDeleteWOw Zeb! I sure appreciate this post of yours..
ReplyDeleteTotoong masakit ang feeling ng na-reject.. but it's ours how we'll take it and conquer that feeling.. I think this is too much to say, pero sa totoo lang marami na 'kong na-reject na tao, and it hurts more for me.. Hindi ko gustong manakit ng iba but I guess thats how the world works..Learning is an inevitable thing.:)
By the way, good choice of song.. Love it from the very first time na narinig ko 'to.. It's so moving..hehe
