GUIDE TO A BETTER LIFE

SOME POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

Personality:

1. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

2. Don’t have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment

3. Don’t overdo; keep your limits

4. Don’t take yourself so seriously; no one else does

5. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip

6. Dream more while you are awake

7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..

8. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner of his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.

9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.

10. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present

11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you

12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

13. Smile and laugh more

14. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:

15. Call your family often

16. Each day give something good to others

17. Forgive everyone for everything

18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6

19. Try to make at least three people smile each day

20. What other people think of you is none of your business

21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:

22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.

23. GOD heals everything

24. Do the right things

25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change

26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up

27. The best is yet to come

28. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful

29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it

30. If you know GOD you will always be happy. So, be happy. While you practice the entire above, share this knowledge with the people you love, people you school with, people you play with, people you work with and people you live with. Not only will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you. –

Life Is Totally Twisted

Have you ever had the feeling
That you were too pressured
To choose from something you're sure of
And from something you're happy with?

It's like you don't know if
You're brave enough to take the risk
Of letting go of everything you hold on to

Life is totally twisted,
Things change and shift happens.
So, know what you really want and go for it.
Choose what makes you happy today or die in sadness tomorrow.

GAGAMBOY!

Nurse On Duty 2!!!

being a nurse is not all about money...

Money isn't enough to pay for our presence for dying patients. Money can't buy our dignity in washing and cleaning butts. Money can't ease the pain we feel being blamed by relatives of patient who has died. Nobody can pay us for the pain and shame we feel when doctors shout at us. And we spent hundred thousands of pesos taking up nursing then end up with a low paying job..

Visit: Nurse On Duty 1!!!

Thank You God

Thank You God for putting me where I am today. For giving me friends, whom I can call my brothers and sisters of Christ. For giving me opportunities after opportunities, for giving me mercy and grace. Thank You. I may not know where this road with You may lead me. But I pray, that I can forever take this journey with You. With You, my Majesty, my King, my Saviour, my friend. I know you have a purpose for me but i can’t see it right now.

Any prayer I call out to you…. I feel like I’m not getting through. Give them strength when things don’t turn out the way they want. Give them faith to know that you will provide, maybe not in the way they think sometimes. Give them hope, because some how, some way, their suffering, their anguish, may by something that, through their endurance, will save someone else.

God bring peace and comfort upon these people. Remind them of Your promise that You will never leave us or forsake us. Remind them how much You love us, and that Your way is perfect. thank you for every single one of these individuals, and thank you for holding them in Your arms I believe that You have a great plan for all of us, I believe that we were placed wherever we are today for a reason. And I believe that You will use us one by one to overcome amazing breakthroughs.

Thank You God for being so amazing.

I Kissed Dating Goodbye

Countless teens and young adults today feel depressed or discouraged because they don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend.

I first read this book when I was in college I’ve read the book at least twice. When I looked at the cover, I was speechless. I felt something special that I discover what he has to say enticed. It seemed as if I feel the need to have read its pages. This book, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye"has increased my knowledge, wisdom and thoughts in pursuing into a relationship in God’s way. He's not saying anyone can't date. Rather, he's questioning the motivations we have behind dating and asking people to really be honest with themselves.

Many readers who start out critics of I Kissed Dating Goodbye are surprised to learn that the core message of the book isn't about "dating," but living your life for God. When I read the book for its complete closure at the end, it begins to dissolve a noble prospect. It was not just the idea of dating my first impression, but the reservation wіtһ іtѕ inspiring call tο sincere lονе, real purity, аחd purposeful singleness.

"True love is expressed not only in words whispered passionate intimate kiss or a hug or are married to two people who have left the love in self-control, patience is also expressed in words unsaid. "

I would whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone who is single and struggling with their dating life.

The "20-20-20" Rule

Last night while I was fixing my e-mails, iTunes, blog hopping and downloading some stuff with my laptop, the television is on just to keep me updated with what's happening around the country and only my peripheral vision is working that time nyahahaha. After a commercial break I pick up the remote control to browse some channels then suddenly 700Club Asia on QTV11 caught my attention about the topic on how to take care of our eyes, since I wear eyeglasses I want to find out how? I'd share it with you!

The "20-20-20" Rule

To help you deal with this problem, the 20-20-20 rule suggest that after every 20 minutes, you (the computer user) should take a break for at least 20 seconds and look at objects that are 20 feet away from you. This gives yours eyes a break and chance to adjust focus-a great way to avoid visual fatigue.

***One good idea is just simply to follow the 20 20 20 rule.

Peace Out! :D

Dalawang Taon Na! Party Party!

There are times that i don't post a new blog entry is it because of my busy schedule and an availability of my time. These is what I wanted to post every time I'am thinking of a new blog post.

"an inspirational post, a positive post, a negative post, a heart warming post, an informative post, a photo blog post, in short a relevant post." :D

I appreciate all of the interaction throughout and am eager to get your comments and suggestions as always. Thanks to all who have stopped by here, especially those who have taken time to leave a comment. I appreciate it very much.

Thanks for all your encouragement and tips. I am look forward to another year of blogging adventures with you all!

Thanks for a great year my humble blog!

PEACE OUT! :D

Libing o Cremation

Burial (Libing)

Cremation

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."

Pangalawang Pagkakataon???

Unselfish Happiness

..........Sometimes I wanna let the hands of the clock be stopped every time I am happy.

..........I wanna hide the hour glass just to make myself believe that moments wouldn't end.

..........But I never did such,

..........for I realized.....

..........there are also those who wanted the
hands of the clock to move.

..........for every strike of it would mean a little recovery from pains they suffer and every
tick-tack of it would help
them forget the bad memories they had in the past.

Are you thankful to God?

"I am eternally grateful for all the wonderful things God has given me and shown me - not material things but life, friends, family, insight into my life, and the ability to love and be loved. The list is endless! He is truly the greatest and He is truly the way to all that is good!"

Never loose sight of the bigger picture: Every thing happens for a reason.
Even if things are at a
standstill the earth is still rotating and you are still breathing. Baby steps are better than no steps at all. In your meditation think of goals you want to accomplish and write them down. By acknowledging what you want, and how you are going to pursue it, it is already manifesting because you have put it in the universe. Stay positive: This is easier said than done, but your optimism will go a long way. It is our attitude that determines the outcome in any situation.

"I thank God for the morning when I wake up and see the bright shining sun. I thank the Lord when I see the moon and stars shine brightly in the sky at night. I thank the Lord for peaceful sleep at night, when I'm not awakened. I thank the Lord for the food that my mother prepares every day. I thank the Lord for His love towards me, for never letting me down, always forgiving me, never giving up on me. I thank the Lord for coming into my life, saving me from death… I thank Him for everything…"

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord…” (Psalm 92:1)

Thank You By Katinas

Just a little while longer I wanna pray
Can't get You off my mind so I came to say
Thank You Lord, just for loving me, alright
Many times I do forget
Every need that You have met
Oh thank You Lord, I know You're showing me
You are there when I am down and out
You're holding me, Your love is so amazing
Oh it changed me

CHORUS
Here I am with all I have
Raise my hands to worship You
I wanna say thank you, oh thank you
For everything, for who You are
You cover me, You touch my heart
I wanna say thank you

I could have died in my sin but You saved me
Didn't have any hope at all
You gave me peace divine, strength to carry on
I should have been the one to pay
But instead You took my place
Amazing grace, it's more than just a song
Even though I don't deserve Your love for me
You look beyond my fault and You showed me mercy

CHORUS

I wanna say thank you for the sun
Lord we thank you for the rain
Thank you for the love You gave

Eleven Hints of Life..

1. It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return.
But what is more painful is to love someone and never
find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who... See More means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.

3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

‎4. It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

6. Don't go for looks, they can deceive. Don't go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.

7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go,be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

8. Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.

9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may heal and bless.

10. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends witha tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyonearound you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the... one smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Trivia on Noynoy, The New RP President

From the time Congress proclaims a candidate as the duly-elected president, the candidate becomes known as the President-elect. In terms of protocol, a president-elect becomes Number Two in the hierarchy of officials, entitled to all official courtesies of an incumbent president, upon his proclamation as such by the Congress of the Philippines.

The Constitution is clear and specific: The title of the chief executive is “President of the Philippines,” and
takes his oath of office as such, although in certain cases involving formal diplomatic usage, “President of the Republic of the Philippines” is used for diplomatic documents. The honorific for the President of the Philippines is “His/Your Excellency,” but the proper form of address is “Mr. President.” At 42.08% Aquino’s percentage of the votes is the highest plurality since the restoration of democracy, and under the 1987 Constitution. The biggest first-term landslide was Magsaysay in 1953 (68.9%), followed by Quezon in 1935. The biggest second term landslide was Quezon in 1941 (81.78%) followed by Marcos in 1969 (61.5%).

Some relevant numbers:
1. He is the first unmarried president in the history of the country.

He is the first president with no children.

The first
deputy speaker of the House to later become president.

He is the first marksman to become president since Ferdinand Marcos (who belonged to the U.P. rifle team).

He will be the first president since 1992 inaugurated into office without having been vice-president first.

He is the first president since Diosdado Macapagal to be
elected as the candidate of the Liberal Party; also the first president since Macapagal not to have changed political parties (three presidents had no political party membership/positions: Aguinaldo, Laurel, Cory Aquino).

Aquino is the first post-Edsa president to exceed Garcia’s 1957 plurality. Majority Presidents: Quezon (68% in 1935 and 81.78% in 1941),
Roxas 54% in 1946,
Quirino (51% in 1949),
Magsaysay (68.9% in 1953),
Macapagal (55% in 1961),
Marcos (54.76% in 1965, 61.5% in 1969),
Aquino (approx. 51%).
Plurality Presidents: Garcia (41.3%) was the only president elected by plurality prior to 1972.
The lowest plurality ever was Fidel V. Ramos in 1992 (23.6%).
Estrada at 39.6% in 1998 was the first post-Edsa president to nearly match Garcia’s 1957 plurality.

He is the first to use the suffix -III (there have been no Juniors or the Thirds elected president previously).

He is the first president to have a February birthday. Two presidents were born in January: Roxas (January 1), Cory Aquino (January 25); three in March: Laurel (March 9), Ramos (March 18), Aguinaldo (March 22); two in April: Arroyo (April 5), Estrada (Aprril 19); two in August: Quezon (August 19), Magsaysay (August 31); three in September: Osmeña (September 9), Marcos (September 11), Macapagal (September 28); two in November: Garcia (November 4), Quirino (November 16).

The President of the Philippines uses license plate No. 1.

2. The second child of a former president to become president in his own right (he succeeds the first presidential child to become president).

The second president from Tarlac.

He is only the second president (Aguinaldo was the only non-drinker previously) who does not drink.

He will be the second president to be sworn in by a Filipino associate justice of the Supreme Court (his mother was the first), but the fourth president sworn in by an associate justice of a Supreme Court (Quezon in 1943 for the indefinite extension of his term, and Osmeña who succeeded into office in 1944, were sworn in by U.S. Associate Justices Felix Frankfurter and Robert H. Jackson, respectively, in Washington, D.C.).

He is the second president to have studied at the Ateneo de Manila, but the first to have graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Two presidents only partially resided in Malacañang Palace: Laurel, and Estrada (who stayed in the Guest House).

Two presidents were elected by the legislature and not in a national election: Aguinaldo and Laurel.

Two presidents were re-elected to second terms: Quezon and Marcos.

Two presidents were brought to power by People Power revolts: Corazon Aquino and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (our two female presidents).
